[AAAS] Jim Smelley, Sr. Announcement

NorthStar EMS, Inc, regrets to announce the death of Jim Smelley, Sr,  
our founder and CEO. Mr. Smelley, with his son Tony, was instrumental  
in helping NorthStar grow by providing leadership, wisdom, and  
stewardship to everyone he met in the course of day to day operations.

Mr. Smelley is survived by his wife, Louise, three children, Jim Jr,  
Tony, and Nesha; and six grandchildren. He was a retired veteran of  
the US Air Force and a life-long Christian known for his involvement  
in church activities. Mr. Smelley was known as "Pops" to the NorthStar  
family and will be remembered fondly for his humor and his fierce  
devotion to his family and employees.

Memorial services for Mr. Jim Smelley will be held Monday, December  
28, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Rd. Northport, AL,  
with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.  
at the funeral home.

We at NorthStar EMS, Capstone Claims, Fayette County EMS, Blount EMS,  
and Pickens County Ambulance appreciate your thoughts and prayers  
during this time of adjustment.
